Gualdo is actually part of the territory of Radda, the capital of the
antique "league of Chianti", but it's situated only 4 kms from
the centre of Castellina, which makes it the most convenient for daily
shopping and other services. Coming from Castellina one takes the SS222
road towards Siena, after approximately 1 km you turn left onto the old
Badiola dirt road and again after 3 kms you turn left at the fork and
after a few mts you'll find yourself in the heart of the Gualdo, which
is equipped with numerous parking places. Distances: 40 minutes from Florence (45 kms) 15 minutes from Siena (20 kms) 25 minutes from San Gimignano (30 kms) 10 minutes from Monteriggioni. (10 kms) |
